Will Tropical Storm Grace form in the Gulf? Track the storm's path here.
Tropical Depression Grace is moving westward toward South Texas, according to a National Hurricane Center forecast.
As of the NHC’s Monday morning advisory, the storm has maximum sustained winds of 35 mph. In order to upgrade to a tropical storm classification, Grace has to have its winds reach 39 mph. To be a hurricane, winds need to be at least 74 mph.
Grace is expected to move over Haiti and the Dominican Republic and Haiti Monday, with flash flooding and mudslides possible. It is forecast to reach Cuba in the next two days and to reach the North American coastline by this weekend.
